It starts off as a feeling… As if you were made for something more than studying, having a job, buying a house, raising a family and dying.

From time to time, the mind starts to wonder… Who are we? Where did we come from? Where are we going? Why are we here?

Then, an emptiness is present in the background of your life, which no matter how many things you fill it up with never disappears.

It can be felt in many different ways… Could be loneliness in the middle of a crowd, could be the feeling of not really belonging, could be a discomfort we can’t even explain to ourselves… We don’t know what it’s about, so we fill up our days with more and more things, so that it doesn’t bother us as much. Still, it doesn’t disappear. It’s the feeling of missing something that we can’t even remember exists. We don’t even know what to look for, we just know that it’s missing. We want it back but how can we reach it if we don’t even know what it is?

Suddenly our days are filled with all sorts of things, and still we can tell that something really important is being forgotten. Like when you forget your wallet at home, feels like something is missing but you can’t really tell what it is, then when you are about to pay for your morning coffee it hits you. What if it wasn’t your wallet you were forgetting…? What if it was something that was buried so deep inside you that you couldn’t ever remember what it was that you were missing? And what if the fact that you were missing it had a major impact in your life (as having forgotten a wallet would have a major impact in paying for coffee), but you just didn’t know to what extent because you’re not familiar with what it’s like to have it in the first place?

Many of us are going through our lives in a mechanical way, almost as if we were living in auto pilot, and we are not even aware of it. A few times, in quiet times or when a huge crisis situation impacts our life, our inner Self gives us hints of our true nature. It wants to wake up. Wants to awaken us. Wants to shine light into your life. And with it, propagate light into the whole world.

Ask the closest people to you: “Who are you”?

It’s likely that most of them will quote their name. But I think we can all agree that a name can’t define who we are. They may then answer “I am a systems engineer at a given company”. But certainly that doesn’t define them either. They will get confused and unsure about what you mean. They may mention how they look, where they live, who they relate to, what they do. But that is still not who they are. They don’t understand you, it gets upsetting. They start to look inside… Who am I…? What defines them as a person? They may describe how they act. “I’m kind to other people, hard working, dedicated”.

… they will describe their personality “intelligent, focused”

… how they feel “happy, anxious”

But our name, our occupation, how we look, where we live, who we relate to, what we do, how we act, our personality and how we feel are not who we are.

So what is?

The answer to that is to be experienced, rather than described. So close your eyes for a moment and try to feel it. And if at first you don’t succeed, try try again. The problem is not if you don’t succeed - it’s if you don’t try.

As your soul gains space over unconsciousness and step out of the autopilot living, you will feel it more and more. That is who you really are.

Ask the people around you why they are doing whatever their main occupation is, and see how many of them can give you a straight answer. You will notice that many of them are simply rowing mechanically in the stream of life, and haven’t really stopped to think where they are heading. It’s interesting to take people out of their boxes, because every time they look inside themselves a little bit of the inner inspiration gains force, and that could be the push they need to start asking questions and unravelling the soul.  Of those who have answered you, notice how many have described physical goals: buy a house, a car, provision for older years. Notice how many plan to fall in love or transcend the mind or help those in need. It’s not about having a strategy for it, but the fact that it’s a conscious goal already sets a mind-set that allows for it to happen.

When you really want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it

- Paulo Coelho

And it’s usually not even about having the right answers… The key is to ask the right questions! While many people are focused on what they want to do, it can be that the most relevant question is actually where to go. And there is no easy answer for that, because even though we came from there we have no memory of what it’s like, it’s certainly not a physical place where you can just step into, but actually a state of being… And we can’t really understand what it feels like unless we are already experiencing it. Seems like a lose-lose situation, but it really isn’t. There are many factors involved. And it’s a beautiful journey to go through – the most beautiful journey of all, which begins and ends in you.

Be prepared to change everything, or nothing at all.

It’s not something we can roll back. Changes will happen, within yourself, and the fundamentals by which you have lived for up until then may turn out to be no longer valid. New ones may come along that will blow you away, or some of them can become so obvious that you wonder how you’ve never seen them before, and yet they were always there.

When you were little, you may have believed in Santa Claus. And you knew it was a reality, supported by all sorts of facts, backed up by everyone around you, and you strongly and deeply believed that it was true. And the day you found out that actually it was your parents who put presents under the tree and the old man with beard didn’t exist, you knew a completely different reality, and you believed it even more intensely, and you would never go back to the old reality. The same happens when you start to Awaken. You start experiencing fragments of a reality that feels much closer to your soul and then the old ones may suddenly stop making sense. And your inner Being starts growing. Your instinct grows, you feel more connected, you find purpose, and the emptiness inside you starts to shrink more and more. The soul gains space. New facets of life will start being revealed along the way. You may find yourself losing interest for things you have always enjoyed doing and feeling the urge to try others that didn’t mean anything to you until then. It’s not that you will get a different perspective of reality, it’s reality itself that is built in a different way than you perceived.

It will be hard. It will be challenging. It will be beautiful. It will be worth it.

In the beginning there was Logos. Before anything else came into existence, it already existed in potential, as pure knowledge, as creative Light. This Light is the essence of everything and it refers to a broader multi-dimensional knowledge that and can only be experienced rather than described, and does not refer to thinking or logical reasoning. For Aristotle, the most important means of persuasion was Logos. For Plato, it was the only legitimate one. Many man have touched this knowledge throughout History and shared their Light with the world. But this Light belongs to no man and to everyone at the same time, so it is up to each of us to find it within ourselves and share it with the world as well.

So everything began in potential. As a white canvas that contains everything in potential, and only when the first draft start to get drawn does it start to gain form and get limited to what it can and can’t become.

And then there was Creation.

The Universe expanded to the point of full duality, and is now beginning to retract back to Unity.

All elements in nature have a purpose, if something has no purpose it ceases to exist (in that form, time and place). Each human being has a purpose as well, as does each society, each country, each planet.

We can go through all of our lives without the consciousness of what our purpose is, in fact that can be quite common. But if we start to understand what that purpose is, what our essence longs for, we can find deep happiness and fulfilment while acting in life.

It's possible to spend all our lives rowing against the tide, because of trying to meet other people's expectations, trying to act according to the social rules of a society, or a job, a family, whatever it may be. And in the end, after spending so much effort in that direction (and even achieving what we were after) we still feel empty and unfulfilled.

If we listen to ourselves, we intuitively know what we are looking for. And when we find it, it will give us the greatest sense of accomplishment and realisation... because we are walking towards the reason of our existence, and not otherwise.
